Three of the biggest acts in all of country music have been making news lately because of their musical exploits on the road. Luke Bryan and Rascal Flatts have announced plans for headlining tours in 2013, while Blake Shelton is currently out on the “road” with fans and other country artists this week for a very special trip.
Luke Bryan has had one of the best years of any artist in country music, and based on his recent announcement last week, he’s expecting 2013 to be even better. Bryan and his team formally announced that the Dirt Road Diaries tour will kick off in mid-January and will stretch into latter March. It will serve as Luke’s first headlining tour, and will also feature openers Thompson Square and Florida Georgia Line.
[box type=”shadow” ] “I have dreamed about this day for a very long time,” Luke said. “We are having the best time putting together all the bells and whistles for this tour. I have spent a lot of time out on tours with some really great artists, and each night we have tried to learn from them. I couldn’t be more excited about this!” [/box]
There are currently 20 dates on the tour schedule, including the kickoff show in Evansville, Indiana on January 17, and the final stop on March 23 in Charlottesville, Virginia. We’ll keep you up to date with all the latest news and developments in regards to the Dirt Road Diaries tour.
And while Luke Bryan is gearing up for his first headlining tour, Rascal Flatts have recently announced they’re extending their current run well into 2013. After an incredibly successful run on their ‘Changed’ tour this year, the Flatts have added 20 more dates, kicking off in January. The 2013 version of the tour will start in Green Bay, Wisconsin on January 10, stretching until March 2 in Tupelo, Mississippi. The Band Perry, who is currently hard at work on their highly anticipated sophomore album, will join the tour in January.
Rascal Flatts are still out on the road, finishing up their 2012 dates on the ‘Changed’ tour, which will wrap on October 27 in West Palm Beach, Florida. Again, as of yet, 20 dates have been announced for next year, with no word one way or another if additional dates will be added. We’ll let you know if/when they are released.
And while fans of Luke Bryan and Rascal Flatts may be planning to attend a show next year, those who were hoping to cruise the sea with Blake Shelton and friends have been the boat this year…literally.
The Blake Shelton Cruise is out on the open water this week, and it’s been one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. And no wonder, what a lineup of performances and appearances fans are being treated to this week! In addition to Blake Shelton, other artists on board for the seven day cruise include Lee Brice, Jerrod Niemann, Tyler Farr, Joanna Smith, Trace Adkins, Easton Corbin, Neal McCoy, Randy Houser, McKenna Faith, Frankie Ballard, Brett Eldredge, Jana Kramer, Brinley Addington, Chris Cavanaugh, Chuck Wicks, JJ Lawhorn, Logan Mize, HER and Kings County, Maggie Rose, Clayton Anderson, Brandon and Leah, RaeLynn, and Nik and Sam. Wow!
Here at MCE, we can’t wait to hear from the artists aboard the Norwegian Pearl about their experiences on the ship, and of course, we’ll share all our info and gossip with you!
And if this year’s Blake Shelton Cruise is even a fraction of the success we expect it to be, tickets will in high demand for another trek in 2013.[signoff]
